We were in Washington, USA, specifically in the wonderful Yakima Valley. This region produces 70% of the apples planted in the USA with innovative varieties like Cosmic Crisp, high-quality cherries and 40% of the wine consumed in this state with varieties such as Chardonnay, Riesling, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Gris and Syrah.
Gabriel Usera and Emilia Fuentefria Marchesi, part of our team, visited clients in more than 20 apple orchards totaling 2,000 ha to collect data and generate specific solutions and services for this thriving industry. Gabriel and Emilia, also attended an exciting field day yesterday in the Smart Orchard at the Yakima Valley, organized by innov8.ag and all the team lead by Steve Mantle.
